American solider 4 years of service- govt pays after service $0
American solider wounded- govt pays medical costs
American soliders serves 20 years- govt gives full pention
American solider killed/POW/MIA - family gets $0
Congressman after 2 years- full pention better than the 20yr solider
Senator 6 years- same as congressman
Barack Obama so far has served 2 yrs as a sentor and 4 as a president- gets a sentors pention plus a presidential pention
Now how can we let americans risks their lives and not get some help afterward when we are paying an ineffective government alot of money

Because that's how life works. Soldiers aren't there to make money, at least not in the government's eye.
Besides, if you gave every soldier a senator's pension after 4 years, the government would go bankrupt in a day.

not only america. in Israel its the same.
but thats how the world go. its was since teh dawn of time. soliders are not the head of the country. they just worker, who work in a quite dangeruse job. and with all the affort you do to becaume a president/consule/prime-minister, you have to have the option to rise up with the salary. they 'role' the countrey after all, a 24/7/356*4 job. in which you are risked too. there are thousands {if not more} peoples who want to see you dead, adn its a very demanding job. plus, a low salary wil 'open the gate' for massive bribery.

in my opinion, we shouldn't be paying the politicians much more than the soldiers. They are there to work for us, yet it seems they only care about themselves. That is why this country is in debt, and that is why it is not going to get better any time soon.

I believe it depends from the branch of military, and also how high up the ranks you are. My father was a military pilot, he made more money than any of our senators. Or, that's just in Serbia.
But soldiers do not apply to be soldiers for the money. It is never because of money, they know they will not receive money from serving the military. So, why are you so affected by it, if the people that are in the military themselves hardly care at all? Of course, there's the problem of the politician making much more money for doing virtually nothing, but that's a different thing

That's funny, complaining won't do anything near change this. This is the way your country runs. The Congressman, with their oversized pay checks tell the underpaid soldiers to work for them and kill people.

Long gone are the days an honorable man got his fair keep, so long gone you'd have to search up something called the "War of the Roses" to get an idea. Now, corporation own everything. A bowyer, a smith, a craftsman, are all lost terms to our useless version of society. And you wonder why terrorists are trying to incite nuclear war and revert the world to a simpler state. Not that they're good, but Coca Cola's no great shakes either. Or most governments.
Which would you prefer? Millions of dead people but the honest man gets his fair keep, or keep the world as it is?

Quite a fallicious argument you're presenting. What makes you think that greed can be eradicated by killing millions?

It can't. That's why we invented doomsday! Or...the one church or another did. If anyone knows that we're in the wrong, it's the large section of religious people.
