Are we talking bout the basketball team and the football team? Or the historical celts and patriots? For sports I like patriots cus' I like football for history I go celts.

Actually you can, in many ways. You can compare them because they're both teams from Boston, comparing which is the better Boston team. You could also compare them by which team is better at it's own sport. You could also compare them by which team has had the better history. I suggest you not flame this thread if you have no knowledge of what it's about.
To answer all three comparisons, first I think the Pats are the better Boston team. With that being said, yes I know they lost the Super Bowl but they did go 16-0 in an NFL season which has done only ONCE in NFL history. Second, same answer. The Patriots are better at their sport. Third, I think Boston has had the better history, having historic teams with legends such as Larry Bird and they have had lots of NBA championships.
