Ghost, aware me on how much weight this kid is deadlifting at 2:27. Must be more than 135 judging by his previous works.

****ing Frank Yang's little brother.

Who would actually exercise if they're sick?

I've done it before while having minor colds, it actually made me feel better, but I wasn't sure with these symptoms.

As for the deadlift, I can't really tell due to the quality. Those look like rubber covered 45's, they're bigger than the regular ones, and I think he has two 10's on each side. So around 175 would be my guess.

However those could also be 35's or even 25's, some gyms have them as the same size as 45's.

The fever itself should be an indication that you shouldn't be working out.

Went to the hospital last night because it started getting unbearable (I have the flu), they gave me an iv and that made me feel better for the time being, but then they sent me home. It's hard as **** to get sleep because my throat hurts so much, and whenever I cough I feel like I'm gonna die because of the pain.

They didn't give me any medicines after I left, why not? I asked them and they said you can't treat viruses like that... but when I've went to the hospital in the past because of the flu they gave me stuff that made me feel better.

You can't treat viruses with antibiotics. Yes, there are antiviral drugs, but they don't attack the pathogens directly. They probably felt it wasn't necessary to give to you drugs for relief or treatment, so it's likely you'll heal in a few days. Why you are documenting this in this thread is beyond me though. Just rest up, and stop worrying about missing a few workouts that'd have almost no impact whatsoever on your physique or strength.

Also, a tangent/rant: I saw a guy leg pressing 900 lbs today. An impressive feat, no doubt, but c'mon, dude. You just took twenty 45 lb plates for a good 5-10 minutes. At that point, why not just squat instead? (He never made an appearance at the squat or power rack.) It's a better, more functional movement anyway. I'd understand if the guy had lower back problems, but if not, he could've been doing a much better exercise with fourteen less plates.

I laugh at people that use 10 5-pound plates. Unbelievably, there's a number of people that do it. Yes, they're all freshman.

Anyway, I was extremely sick a few weeks ago and couldn't move at all. I talked to my spotter about whether or not I should lift, and surprisingly he gave me the Ok. So, I drove out to the gym and we worked out for a while. Sure, it was hard to get going, but it made me feel incredibly better. It was an upper body day so there wasn't much standing, and I didn't have the energy to stand anyways. It's amazing what exercise can do when you're sick.

What I'm saying is, Matrix, if you have the energy, you should probably move around a little bit. Movement is the best medicine.

Something looked wrong with that video. Hope the older brother doesn't let the kid lift like that anymore. He was dead lifting with his back, not his legs. Isn't that bad?

His form was fine. Deadlift is both a low back and leg exercise. The kid's in college now.

It's about my health.

Also, I'm not worried about missing a few workouts. I only made one or two posts regarding that, it's not like I'm complaining about not being able to train. I simply wondered if I should or not.

Been resting up as well as I can, I'm bedridden for most of the day. I just can't get much sleep because of this **** runny nose and sore throat. Those are the two main issues right now, my cough is less frequent, headaches gone, fever is gone, and stomach pain is gone. I probably won't get back into training until next week, doctor said it'd take 7-10 days for this to go away.

What I'm saying is, Matrix, if you have the energy, you should probably move around a little bit. Movement is the best medicine.

I feel more energetic today, able to move around the house without feeling extremely fatigued, but I'm gonna go ahead and take some more days off.
