I learned that I apparently won the local poetry contest that happened a couple months back.

Wish the people running it were nice enough to notify me

Haha, Gandalf, I know that feeling, but it's even harder when your grandma grew them herself in her garden.

Today I learned that the movie World War Z is so popular, the copies of the books are all taken out and have up to four people holding it for when it's returned, at two different libraries.

I learned that I have peaches in the bottom of my refrigerator that haven't ripened very much.

I learned that your spinal cord processes most reflexes because the response has to be sent at such great speed back to the nerve that sent the reflex (to stop injury) that the message doesn't have time to go to the brain and back. (ex. when you touch something hot, your hand instantly jerks away)
