Quick question
Ok so on your profile there is an aim section next to all your other accounts does aim here stand for aol instant messenger (I highly doubt this but the way its with other accounts makes me wonder) or aim as in something you aim to do.

AOL Instant Messenger.
Many people just use it as 'AIM' as an objective, it doesn't really matter, though.

Correct... AIM is one of the social features that are added to the user profiles, as is MSN and the gaming console callsigns. Most users do use them for funny stuff or their initial intention, state their callsigns. =)
I bet you can guess what most users use the AIM one for... ;)

Thanks for clearing that up for me I wasn't sure if I was right because so many people put their targets in it.

Steam is basically where most pc gamers will buy there games as they come in downloadable form and stick to your account so that you don't need to keep a disc lying around .
It is what I would call the PCs equivalent of XBL or PSN

Other examples of the (mis)use of the AIM username is where users like to state what Armor Rank they wish to ultimately achieve, like "Wood Prince - ... AP" for example...
Back on topic... oh wait... the topic is answered! Guess it can be locked then... ;)
