the year is 1984, Tensions between the Eastern Bloc, and NATO are boiling over. Neither side wants to step down, and large build up of forces are everywhere The Doomsday Clock is now at 11:57 The only time it's been closer to doomsday (Midnight) was in 1957. (Historical Divergence) Now many nations are dissolving into internal conflict, only a few nations manage to hold their own, but lose a lot of territory, whether it be for Communism, Democracy, Neither, or just plain Anarchy. Now much of Europe, Asia, and even a lot of the Americas are dissolved into squabbling city states, with (for the times) primitive technology like simple bolt action rifles, and basics for civilization (Agriculture, basic buildings, a list of simple laws, etc.).

I have 1990 soldiers, and they only have like, 50-ish. I outnumber them about 40 to 1. Just keep firing!
I also tell the workers and scientists to grab whatever weapons they can and assist, if possible.
this fight's taking really long...
Also, hero/fool' a pretty fine line in my book.

primitive tech is:
Simple housing (i.e. two bedroom, kitchen)
Simple agriculture (wooden sticks to make holes for seeds, scythes)
a money system, the Austrian Euro, for trade between the people
a rank class (scientists find themselves as high class, then the soldiers, then the workers)
and some basic, nearly bible-esque laws (no stealing, murder, things like that, keeps it from being an anarchist state)


How am I supposed to know how to build rifles with those technologies and without factory ? Or Militia already carry weapons ? So, what type ? How many ? You tell us we begin with very simple knowledge (farm and basic house) but we already can research on MSGs and snipers ? hmm..
And I meant better productivity for everything. I dunno.. Making plans for construction, better tools, better materials and so on. Just make my workers build faster.

guns do not require a factory at all, unless you're trying to raise a whole other army, you're not gonna need one either, man has been making rifles without a factory since, what was it, 500 or so years?

True Austria is, for the most part, surrounded by mountains, but there are some places that aren't as close to the mountains as others.
- For example, [url=http://www.dreamstime.com/stock-photos-austria-landscape-image18016703], when I searched (google0 for some images of Austria's landscape. There are hills, and slopes, but mountains are pretty far off (though it's only one side of the area, so it doesn't hold too much credibility).

That's more like it! I have the militia escort the wounded to the Tavern, then sit down and talk to them, assuming they dont resist. If they resist, I tell the soldiers to shoot them dead. Of course, assuming they cooperate, I tell them "I'm willing to forget this if you help us instead of raiding us. We must all help eachother during this hard time. Please. Even though you attacked us, i'm willing to forgive you."
