So I have dug up my old sketchbook last year and decided; "Hey, since I have improved over the last year, why not I compare last year's skill and today's skill?"

So... here is one of my mecha bots I cooked up last year and one that I recently sketched out.

So here is the one from last year...

And the new one...

Now, ima just gonna write a short story for this...
Apparently, LaserBlade 1.0 was made out of slap-work scrap metal and a cheap-@ss laser generator. He was sick of being ridiculed by his other robo friends that  he decided to quit and join the Soviet union.

He not only got free vodka and cookies but a new powerful laser generator, kick@ss turbo jets, tesla installments, new and more sturdy armor plating and a nice new paintjob. He has also taken interest in one of his new colleagues and formed a Human-Machine symbiotic relationship with the woman.

You have gotten a better understanding on how and where the armor would naturally fit together, which is indeed some progress. Linework looks nicer as well, even considering that one is a sketch and the other is inked.
Next thing you can start consider is making the surface more 3d textured, which means curving some of the separating lines to illustrate the fact that the surface is bend.
Otherwise, might be a plan to go for some human anatomy practice to get a better grasp of that.
But not bad, not bad indeed.

The woman looks swell. I like the attempt at her feet; using the basic shapes for the feet was a good way to start. I wouldn't stand so close to those thruster flames though, haha.

The second robo is an improvent. He does appear to be flat, and it can be a liitle hard to tell which way the torso/arms are bending. There are several ways to counteract that, but I wouldn't worry about it. Just keep doing what you are doing, naturally improving with practice.

uh... Well, I did not put much effort in the girl... She's actually just there for size comparison, and I am not really that good at drawing casual shoes... Only boots and armored feet... And She has

BALLS OF STEEL!

Such pu$sy flames can't stop her!

Any ways, yeah... The bending of the torso and arms can be improved and I noticed too that its rather flat... Looks like I got lots of room to improve...

Anyways, I am now working on a human character which I am redrawing... Hope I can get it up soon...

So here's the old one...

And the New one

Now lets have a short little story...

Meet Alfina, a Female Mercenary Sniper of the planet of Nyselia. She doesn't really like the job; hours of camping, stress, strain and psychological/physical trauma. As a result of her job, her body became stiff, her joints bend the wrong way and her left arm became too buff that she could hold a sniper rifle in an awkward position.

Alfina decided to take a month's vacation to earth where she took a world tour from the money she's made from her job. It was a beautiful place out there, from the relaxing beaches of Hawaii, the busy hectic life of Japan, the peaceful mountains of the Himalayas to the fun and entertaining places in New york.

After the Tour, she's got a new tan, bought a New sniper Rifle and concealed her injury on her right arm with a new Nike armband. She's now less shag and ready for more contract killing.

Ok, now here's more... Its an old Hatsune Miku drawing and I decided to add more stuff to the new one (A place, some other characters and some furniture) Its not inked though... Just sketched and shaded, because I am lazy...

The old one

The new one

As always, the background story:

Miku is always loved by everyone and now, she has decided to promote a maid cafe by serving in it for a day. It was a lovely day, as the maid cafe attracted rather pleasent business as Miku was in it. Even attracting from Vault Hunters (Salvador and Zer0), International Terrorists (Bane) and normal Gamers (Kirito and Asuna) to dine in the cafe.

The second one is really cool. The characters are well done, and I know of all of them except for Miku. What show is she from? And is she a she? (I've been watching an anime where the hottest girl is actually a tranny [It's a trap!]) lol
