Unfair battle mode: Sonic vs LEGENDARY Ghost Shogun
Sonic: 500 HP 78 MP (Infantry) Dazed
Weapon: Kingdom key T1
Armor: Weak Exoskeleton and Bandana combo T1.5 lol
Ghost Shogun Zokozan: 9600 HP 200 MP (Armor)
Weapon: Shame's Pride T3
Armor: Shame's Persistence T3
Zokozan s******s. "Bah! Practice is the only way to improve your skill! What, are you amazed at how gracefully I wield this oversized bludgeon? " He allows Sonic to full-heal himself with Cure (1100 health is 22 MP cost), then crouches and intercepts Sonic's overhead swing with one of his own. Shame's Pride is longer than Kingdom Key, so...BOOM HEADSHOT, 1500! Want to retreat? Sonic is also Dazed from the concussion.

Note: I forgot to mention this, but I use a random number generator between 1 and 1000 to determine your attack effectiveness. That's not all: your attack description matters, and so does your level. If there's a difference in your levels, I add the difference squared to the higher-level, and subtract it from the lower level. Between Sonic and Zokozan, the difference is 8 levels, so Zokozan gets +64 to all his rolls, and Sonic gets -64. Level counts, a lot! Also, Type-advantages factor in too. The advantageous unit (Zokozan) gets +100 regardless of level, and the disadvantaged unit (Sonic) gets -100. This is really stacked against you sonic! Hope that clarified things. I recommend you run away, come back later when you're leveled up!
Note: You may also change your unit type and RESET your equipment for 10% of your total XP.

Odd, in Sonic's mode, I typed in "Snicker" and it got *'d out. Maybe I mistyped and it thought it was a swear. huh...

"thanks for the advice. I might visit later to see how that goes.* heal myself, and heal the minor damage I did to the ghost, and run away.

I equip and I put my staff in my in a place where I can grab it easily and I continue to search the hills being careful to stay away from monsters that are very powerful. I also can an eye out for more items.

Well, I'll do as the legendary unnamed hero said... and I'll go ahead and train by hunting down a ghost that won't instant kill me.

@Sonic: That's how we do things: Kill the easy guys first! You encounter...Oh my! You encounter a Soldier heartless! Because you wield a Keyblade, there's a chance you encounter heartless in addition to normal enemies. Sadly, very few Heartless own equipment, but they DO sometimes drop special materials that you can use to synthesize new gear from!

I'm going to try my luck. I mean, come on. It's a crab. Giant or not.

Crabs are not the most mobile creatures, so I attempt to lure it in to attacking me. Once it does I'll try to dodge it, circle around and go for a back stab.
