Why is it that the majority of the MMO's have some kind of limit to how much you play? It's pointless.

If I want to play your game all day, why not?

It makes them money and deters people from making real money off of selling the in game currency. Check out this article.

Exactly. It makes people money. A lot of iPhone games also do this to make money. One of them the notorious TeamLava...

Think about it too, a limit prevents an addiction. It's inadvertently a good thing for you.

That's not very smart. But most flash games on this site don't have that anyways xD

I wholly agree. If it's fun, just play it until you hit the ceiling. You're merely shortchanging yourself if you're not going to have fun for a while because the game has a daily limit to that entertainment.

I once heard of a case where a player played so long she died of starvation while playing. Maybe that's the reason why there is a limit...

Yep it happened a couple times. Most of them were in South Korea.
