Actually, no there should not. Mods, please lock this. If you have a desire for spamming wait until the chat-rooms are back up, and still, don't completely spam.
One of the reasons that spam comments are deleted is that points should not be given out for spamming. If there is a thread for spamming, people would still get the points for it. This encourages point giving for spamming, which is against the rules of this site.
