12/21/12 The Mayans said so, so it must be true....

Or, it could be from global warming, a meteorite, or over-population.

over-population

How would we become extinct from that?

Too many murders, less food, and less water.

global warming,

We have the potential to adapt our society to the changing conditions, but I think even if we don't, it won't kil off all humans.

less food, and less water.

Essentially this; ressources. Unless we find a clever way to distribute them, which I hold as possible theoretically, though impossible in our current society.

Even if we have too many people and people die from lack of resources, the number of people will go back down to levels where there are enough resources.

There's only three ways that the human race is going to go extinct.

1) Sun dies in 4.5 billion years.
2) Massive nuclear war and extreme radiation kills off the survivors.
3) Virulent pathogen that is easily transmittable and can survive in water, air, and extreme cold/heat.

Barring those...(and 2/3 aren't even surefire) there's no way our species is going to die off at this point. 1 would only be negated if we achieved interstellar travel and found another planet that can sustain us. Even still, the eventual heat death of the universe would be the final end all point.

sun dies in 4.5 billion years
by that point we will be all over the universe.

global warming

ya no. we have polar ice caps melting at like a few feet a year. big whoop.

12/21/12

nope. the mayans got bored and ended their calander then went extinct.

those are the best bets, but i dont think anything else isnt even a good guess. we have cut down 1.857% of the worlds trees, i believe, and water will never run out. food is growable and killable in every way. we wont run out of it.

Lolz... It is most definetly fake Killersup... How much you wanna bet? 8D

But it's gonna end from the sun dying. That's it. All this Nibiru crap is fake too -.-

Elementary Ecological studies from various species show that as a population reaches its limit for that particular niche, the population itself falls until it is able to sustain itself, then rises again. So when the resources of that niche falls, so does the "carrying capacity" of that population. If that lowers, the limit of that population will lower and lower still, until it balances out.

The end of humanity, if there ever will be, will be once we reach that critical stage where we become a Type-1 civilization (global), where we either forgive our past struggles and live in global peace together or live as one, single, global civilization (less likely). This is important, because if we as a single species do not, our technology will catch up to us and we will have the possibility of destroying ourselves with harmful, destructive weapons.

The end of humanity won't end from our sun either. Because at that point two billion years later, we will have already reached Type-2 or Type-3 civilization (stellar and galactic) and become immortal. Immortal meaning nothing known to science can destroy us.

As a society of course, a grenade launcher can still kill you.

Why would AG care though? Killersup and the rest of all of AG will be dead and gone way before hand.

Humanity will survive until the end of the Universe, and die when the final sun explodes and kill the last ancestors who devolved into children who lived in metal spheres (source: Utopia, The Sound of Drums, and the other one)

YES I AM A WHOVIAN.

As for when it will actually end, no one can say.

The sun will die in approximately 4.7 billion years, that might be the answer, however, there could be more kinds of smart animals that will come alive in a few million years that could hunt people for food. I'm mostly interested in space things, so, there could a supernova from a large star a few light years away that will send radiations to earth and kill all the people. Or, it could be an asteroid, or comet that strikes earth and blows up dust in the air for years to stay. The dust will cover the sun, so plants can't grow and animals can't grow. Most animals survive by eating these. Here is an example star that will become a supernova in a few years. Betelgeuse is a red supergiant star that will end in a big bang. It will spread radiation and kill the people. It might form a black hole and suck up the sun. P.S. I used to watch space videos, so I know lots of space stuff.

You never know. How will life be like millions of years from now? It's not a far stick to shake to say we will have such individual protection against primitive technology.

Betelgeuse is 643 LIGHT YEARS away, that means 643 years after it explodes for it to reach us, and by that time, I doubt that much will be left. (radiation is inversely related to the square of the distance I believe)

No no no, the machines will achieve sentience and destroy mankind. It all starts in that building next to AG headquarters.....
