You know, a lot of games already have internal challenges and rewards. Exit Path comes to mind, with all the hats and accessories you can earn. Maybe we should encourage future programmers to use Quests instead of achievements, badges, etc.
No, wait. Much better idea: award quests for getting so many achievements. Exit Path (again) could reward quests for unlocking so many hats or getting a certain time in a certain level. Or winning [x] online matches.
