Seriously. Why does this crap even happen?

I have a gun. Haven't shot it in a bit because of money, but yeah. My family owns some pretty decent firepower. Beyond that, friends of the family have enough firepower to arm a militia.

We have two shotguns, two .22LR rifles, a .22LR pistol, my Mosin Nagant, a .357 magnum, a 9mm pistol, a .38 special on the way (a couple weeks until layaway is paid off), and my step father is looking into a .460 magnum revolver. Once I get a job I'll be financing a Remington 700, and once the supply becomes available (This gun law BS has literally emptied everything of everything. The gun industry thanks you.), I'll be financing an AR10 in .308 or .243, possibly an AR15 but I don't much like .223 Remington. Not much effect on target downrange, and not accurate in general beyond 400 yards.

I've shot most of them (9mm is new, only a magazine or two ran through, and our 12 gauge is only occasionally test fire).

I'm not even going to go into the firepower of friends of the family, but I can tell you this: It's more than adequate.

And come to think of it, I don't think any of us have ever gone a shooting spree. Go figure. I've been around this since I was 4 (when I got my first pellet rifle), and I'd reckon I'm a fairly sane individual.

.22 LR, .22 revolver, airsoft pistol (looks sorta like a glock), red rider bb gun (no I didn't shoot my eye out), and an 1853 Enfield rifled musket (for civil war reenactments). I have shot all but the the Enfield (moved before I was old enough to participate in the battles), and the airsoft is horrible.

I am also in the sharpshooter club, and when wrestling is over I intend to go to as many pistol and archery shootings that I can. (using .22's in one, genesis bows in the other, and I might sign up for SPP (scholastic pistol program), which uses 9mm)

Anyway, glad when I was in elementary school, my teachers never got mad at us shooting each other with our handguns (lol). We played cops and robbers all the time in first and second grade. In fact, it's safe to say that I shot people with my finger in middle and high school as well. Not out at recess since that disappeared, but in class when the lecture was boring, we'd either shoot each other with our finger guns and try and dodge, doing the most ridiculous movements possible. I blame The Matrix.

On the bus ride to a wrestling meet, me, a couple other wrestlers, and the managers got into a gunfight using our "hand"guns. It led to us dodging behind the seats to avoid bullets and shooting at each other as they popped their heads up.
