The machine looks like its for the power source for the prison.
There is no one in the room but there are small auto tanks and they will shoot if anything fishy happens to the machibe.

I attempt to disable them by frying them and their circuit boards. With Lightning out of my hands! If successful I attempt to draw all of the power out of the machine and then turn in off. Never know when you need extra power. I would then go through the exit and attempt to find a hiding place. If not successful tell me.
