Thoughts: Act as natural as is humanly possible
"Where are all these students coming from?" Kenji wondered silently. "Are there that many rich people in the world? Galaxy? Some of them definitely aren't human. I wonder how many of them lied to get in."
Hey...pretty big school, huh?"
Kenji briefly considered his options. The most natural thing to do would be to turn, make eye contact and give a casual reply. That wasn't going to happen. If he mumbled and ignored her, he would lose the imitation of being rich and important. There must be a reasonable middle ground.
He turned his head to the left, almost making eye contact, and, before he realized it, activated the *Principles of Logic* section of his brain. "Based on what? I've only seen two buildings, both of which are relatively large. However, the total size of the school itself is impossible to judge from a single gathering of students. Granted, there are still students entering the building as of now, implying that this academy has a larger than average volume of students, unless this is only a fraction of the student body, in which case this would be an extremely large school rather than 'pretty large,' which is an undefined estimate based on incomplete information and compared to an undisclosed size that, based on your current deduction, is 'pretty small' at the least."
His brain switched back on and he realized how much he had just said to a complete stranger. He immediately looked away and said "I mean, hi." He made a mental note to read less about logic and statistics. What did kids his age read, anyway?
