With a fantastic amount of entries in total, we are leaving a successful Winter Edition behind us and now move on to another round in the ArmorGames Armatar Contest!!
And because you blew us away with so many of your wonderful, creative and talented entries, we decided we want to test your skills to match the latest Quest game that was launched: Sinjid. That's right people! We would like you to surprise us with a submission for the next stealthy theme: NINJA!
Here are the guidelines that help you figure out what is allowed and what is not :
# ARMATAR CONTEST GUIDELINES :
1) All entries must be appropriate. They cannot be offensive or profane in nature. Keep it clean!
2) The entry must be square, and at least 100x100 pixels in dimension.
3) Your entry must scale down well to 100x100. So if it is larger, make sure that it will still look good when it is scaled down to the actual armatar size. Here are a few suggestions about this :
~ Sometimes keeping it simple is better. If you go into a lot of detail, it might not look as great when you scale it down. So keep in mind what the final size will be and check often how it looks when it is scaled down.
~ Remember to save a lot while you are making it! Better to delete 20 -in between made- save files later on, than ending up with something you actually don't like...
~ If you are able to do vector, by all means! That can help with the sharpness of the image. However, since they are so small this probably isn't a big issue.
4) Must be completely original. You cannot use elements from other pieces of artwork, the entire armatar must be 100% created by you. Plagiarism will not only exclude your submission by means of disqualification, it will also exclude you from participation in any future contests AND will have further consequences!
5) Must be fitting to the current contest's theme. If a certain entry is debatable to whatever extend, a mod or admin will give the decisive and final ruling for submission.
Do note that we won't add all submissions at once... all submissions will go up in batches during the entry window and they will eventually disappear from the Armatar roster a week after being uploaded, thus rotating all submissions as we approach the next theme. Keep checking this thread for notifications on the rotation!
The window for this contest will be from 02/20/2013 untill 03/10/2013, so make sure you submit your entries in time to make it on the rotating schedule!
We look forward to seeing your contributions! So, assume your lotus position, completely clear your mind and start searching your inner self... and once you've reached your colorful fountain of creativity, jump into action to grab that pencil and weild it as if you were holding a Katana, slicing your enemy with deadly colorful blows! Make 'em look good! Amaze us!!! =)

Wow, nobody said anything about the one I made, I'm depressed now. Well not really, but I kinda wanted to know how it looked, because I'm still pretty new to this digital drawing thing.
I like yours, gaboloth, but why is he at a 45-degree angle? He's destined to fall flat on his face if he keeps that up.
That is a very different style, Krin, and I like it. I have another one I'm working on, if you're interested in my style and want to update it. I have another female and one for myself. I'll have them up sometime soon (still working on them).
For anyone interested, I use procreate for all artwork on an iPad 2 with a Targus stylus. "procreate" is the greatest, most advanced art app every created. It has everything you need. Extreme amounts of customization, photo importing, tons of sizing options, layers (layers are my best friend), duplicating, and UNDO. So now you know.
Also, @Krin, I posted a Ninja Ferret a while back, although not for this thread. Actually, he's more like a samurai warrior assassin...I'll let you decide. Go to the "Draw me a Ferret, win Premium Content" Thread and check Page 2, near the bottom.
Your Ninja Ferret makes a significanty better Armatar, though.
Whoo one more , idk ninja hermit/ wizard thing...yea throw a mask on something and say its a ninja lol, really turtles, ferrets, trolls,...horses.
No, I actually used pastel-chalk pencils, but you gave an idea for future contests. Maybe I should try to draw something using watercolours. We'll see
i keep trying to post my image, but it doesnt work.
Will this work? I removed the large tags.
^ TopRank's image, hopefully.
You're doing it right, but you need to remove the [IMG] tags and leave the
I probably should have read Terry's post before I replied. We're both right.
For a really easy way to remember, when you use Photobucket's "Share the Photo" Links section, copy the "Direct Link," then click "Image" on your Armor Games post and paste the URL in the blank.
Make sure you only use http:// one time. The final link should look like this:
By the way, the deadline for this contest was March 10. When are the new Armatars going to be available? Soon-ish would be nice.
thanks, thats my image
No problem. Don't worry, not going to steal it. Just write those directions down so you nail it first try next time.
Allright, that's it! I left it open a few days past the deadline to see if there would be some last minute submissions, but now the Ninja themed contest is officially closed! Thank you all for submitting your awesome work people!! =)
The Aramatars that have been chosen will be available shortly, check your Armatar page to see when they are uploaded!
And make sure to keep an eye out for the new contest that will be held soon!! =)
