Almost anything that's stickied (the one with the meat satay-like pins at the top) in the Newcomers Forum is helpful.

Pang give him direct links to helpful threads, the last was on the BB-codes... also helpful... And at least... every sticky might be helpful... not only on the newcomers forum.
