I'm trying to track down a game, I'm fairly sure it was a flash game.
It was a little bit like the civilisation wars series, but set in space. There were planets you had to capture.
But, it was turn based, and the planets orbited a sun, so the distance between, and the time taken to travel between planets changed.

Its a flash game
But more strategy your planets create ships which you send to capture others

The closest I can find is solarmax, but turn based, and with planets that moved in orbit

I guess we will have to do some more digging then! Closest is Solarmax? I'll check it out and see what I can come up with further then... =/
