You press the Fire tile. It clicks, and the chest opens, revealing a small stone key (add it to your Inventory). As you take it, the chest and table vanish into smoke once again. +50 EXP (add that to your sheet as well).

I go back and open the locked door.

I place my staff to block the blow, push it back, then go for the kick

You use the opportunity to take a headshot, dealing 20 more! (As you can now tell, better-aimed strikes deal more damage. You are using a L1 bow and are basing a lot of shots on luck, but can deal good damage with good shots). The Goblin recovers and jumps up, grabbing a limp to pull himself into the tree!

You step into the “The Rabbit Hole,” a dingy Tavern that seems to be fairly large. There is a long bar taking up one wall. The rest is tables, booths, darts, gambling and some rather dangerous knife-related games. A few are playing cards with chips (and bags of gold). Out of the corner of your eye you notice a man in a green hood smoking a pipe and watching you. You can:
Ask the Bartender things
Examine the Bounty Board (nothing good there)
Play cards (for gold or items. Holy crap that’s a great idea. Check the Message Board).
(Be aware that you are a Knight of the Kingdom and will not receive as warm a welcome. However, you will not experience any fights. Go ahead, explore the place. Make me do some work).

The man shakes his head. “No towns in this Land. Just a forest. Strange stories about it, but all forests have their ‘strange stories’ don’t they. It has gotten dark, though. Ah, what kind of man would I be to send you out? You can rest here if you please.” You can:
Sleep for now (until it returns to Day, so if you’re going on a vacation, do that)
Leave the cabin (and face the monster encounters)
Face the Lady of the Lake (not recommended)
Play cards (see Message Board)

You insert the key into the locked door. It snaps in half. Ha, kidding. The door unlocks and you walk up the steps. Floor 1 complete (+50 EXP, already added to your sheet)! [walking up the stairssssss] You enter another circular room, smaller than the first. Again you are faced with three doors. Do the math.

You block the strike, then execute the kick. You hit the Barbarian square in the chest, which sends a wave of pain through your leg, since the Barbarian is the toughest class and basically has abs of steel. He laughs as you hop of one foot for a moment. “Should have warned you about that! Perhaps you should have practiced on the wooden dummies first. Alright then, one last strike!” He steps back, then strikes hard and fast overhead with his staff!!

Sorry I took so long (Shadow, don’t bump my thread! I can handle it!), I’ve been, well, living. Wednesday was a long, boring, ugly day and I did basically nothing. Don’t worry guys, I won’t leave you hanging, I'm having a blast being the GM. In fact, I have exciting news about a new feature for my game that you’ve never (ever) seen in a forum game here: card games!

You will find card games only so often, generally in Taverns (there is one in the White Forest) and maybe in the Castle somewhere. You will be able to play for Gold or for items (each of your items has a value, even L1). You CANNOT offer items that you need (aka, you must always have one of everything equipped. Knights cannot bid their only shield, for example). You can play for fun or for cash.

Here’s how it works: I, Matt the GM, am skilled at playing Blackjack and Texas Hold ‘Em, aka Poker. You will be able to play those two (ONLY those two) in any card game location. I will get a deck of cards from my room and deal a hand (in real life) for your game. It can’t get any more fair, or random, than that. Your cards and the cards of other players will be from me dealing to myself. No cheating, no bonuses, 52 cards. I will lay down the ante, the possible raises, the chip values and your options per turn. HOW COOL IS THAT?? 5G to everyone who reads this and posts “That is so cool” at the top of their next post!

You open the door to see a very large, muscular man fighting a very large, angry bear. Although it’s not much of a fight, since the man is on the floor and the bear is attacking him. It turns and sees you. The bear stops, then lets out a roar and charges you!

I stab upwards, timing it so that the stab hits just before the bear can attack me.

I tell selphy to shoot the pincers and the tail if tries to attack me, the I shoot an arrow at a pincer and run up trying to stab the eye again.
