@Sonic
Brac shrugs and grabs a seat from another table, letting you play. "I'm Brac and he's Bric. You have a name?" he asks as he shuffles and deals the cards.
Ante: 1 (5G. I hope you read the AllPlayer message in the last GM Sheet, it explains card games thoroughly).
Raise: Pot Limit.

You bash the bear, dealing another 10! The bear stumbles and falls into a wall. To your surprise (and the bear’s), a large collection of Knight’s shields (you hadn’t noticed them before) hanging on the wall drop to the floor, burying the bear in a mile of shields. It roars again and tries desperately to climb out of the pile! (5G added to Gold slot)

I continuously stab the bear in the face.

The man shrugs. “Alright then. We’ll play that. My name is Vichtor, by the way.” He sits down at a table and lights a lantern, then opens a small box and gets out a deck of cards and a tin. “I have game coins, if you want to play for those. No real value. Or we can just play hand-by-hand and to the Lake with keeping score.” (+5G for the review)

"Hee, Max is mine. Anyways, Vichtor, I don't have any game coins, but if you lend me some, then we can play with those, if not we can do the latter. Though it's night, so I don't think we should venture out, wouldn't want to attract aggressive creatures while playing, would ruin the game, I'd say." I tell him.

You head to Scarborough. It's not that far away and soon comes into view. It's a relatively small elf village, surrounded by interlocking wooden posts that form a solid wall. It has a single double-door gate and a watchtower with an elf. He notices you and calls out "For what purpose do you visit Scarborough?"

I shrug. "Buying, selling, exploring. I killed a Tree Goblin on the road and I've got some loot to sell. I'm from the Kingdom Castle, by the way."

You turn right and follow the path for a while. Before long, a wooden wall comes into sight. You notice a gate and a small watchtower. An elf is standing guard, leaning against a flagpole with the Elvish crest on it. He sees you approach and stands up. "For what purpose do you visit Scarborough?"

(OOC: I have read your AllPlayer messages since my last post)

"I wish to see what there is to do in Scarborough."

Selphy makes a well-placed shot and hits the Scorpy in a pincer, dealing 10! You shoot and hit the Scorpy in the other pincer, dealing 5! The Scorpy raises up for a body slam-type attack!

I tell Selphy to poison her arrows and try to shoot the heart through the belly as scorpy gets up to the attack, I try to do the same and after that I tell Selphy to prepare to dodge and I get ready to dodge the body slam.

Sorry that I was gone so long, I was busy with school work.

I think that this game is well thought out and you post so much, it is great. This game has won a 6/7 from me for the great amount of thought and imagination put into this. I love the many places in it and the fact that there is always something to do and that imagination in this game can bring better outcomes. I think to make it better you should add more player-to-castle interaction because we have nothing to do with the defenses and stuff. Player-to-Player interation would also be interesting.

Selphy poisons an arrows and fires quickly, hitting the Scorpy in the underbelly and dealing a nasty 50 + 10! You fire an arrow as well, hitting and dealing 10! The Scorpy recoils back, snapping his claws angrily from the serious wounds you have inflicted! He attempts to grab you with a claw and misses!

(Actually, there IS Player-to-Castle interaction. You need to visit the Castle store. You don’t currently have the Gold [you need at least 10], but there are a few Castle parts that can be upgraded for more benefits, plus several available mysterious rooms, plus a few other areas that can be bought to access more of the Castle. Upgrading the Hospital will let you buy health tonics, upgrading the Training Hall will allow you to meet more trainers, and buying the Tower will let you see a new Active Map location that cannot be discovered otherwise. You really should explore the Castle, I’ve put a lot of work into it that you won’t notice until you spend time in it. You can train, open rooms, find chests, etc without any Gold at all).

You light the Torch and swing it around. The Panther growls. He has recovered and is moving quickly through the shadows. “Excellent. Use your senses!” He strikes from the side, dealing 15, then jumps back (although you will be able to hit him much easier now. The fire from the torch will be almost as good as a shield, since the Panther has no armor and cannot afford to be burned by an open flame).

Story:

@Sonic
You take one card. Bric and Brac each take a card as well. (I made a mistake. In blackjack, each player has one facedown card and one face-up card. It is now corrected.)
Ante: 1
Raise: -
You (1): [AH] [8H] [2H] (Remember than an Ace can be used as a 1 or an 11).
Bric (1): [3H] [??] [3S]
Brac (1): [6H] [??] [AS]

@pang
(Okay well you fixed it now. Sorry.)

You arrive at Flatwater Lake. It’s a rather large lake, with a thin forest surrounding the other side of it. This side of the lake has a smooth sandy beach that would look much better in daylight. To the left is a small cabin with a smoking chimney. A rowboat is tied loosely to a short dock.

@Max
Blackjack time! Crap, someone else is playing cards. I need to find another deck. Make me do so much work, seriously. I hope you read the rules on cards (previous AllPlayers message on GM Sheet). Anyway, Vichtor gives you 12 chips: five 1’s, five 2’s, one 5 and one 10 (adds up to 30 GC).

Ante: 1
Raise: -
You (1): [AD] [10C] (Holy crap I dealt you blackjack first hand.
Vichtor (1): [2S] [??]

You can raise, check or go all-in at 30.

@SubZero
The elf looks at you carefully, then nods. “Open the gates” he calls down, and the gates swing open. The elves guarding the gates from the inside give you a friendly glance as you enter. (Check the Message Board)

@Patrick
The elf looks at you carefully. “You may buy and sell, or run errands at our Bounty Board. Open the gates,” he calls down, then gives you a cold look. The elves at the gates stand guard as you enter the town. (Check the Message Board)

--------------
Message Board:

@SubZero
@Patrick
Both of you are in the same place (not at the same time), so you have the same options. I’m going to post them now so I don’t have to post them twice. In Scarborough, you can:

-Buy and Sell at the market. They have a store for every class, a General store and a Trading Bin for whatever)
-Check the Bounty Board (you have access to a few small quests for G or EXP. But wait! I have granted you the infamous “third option” that video games are obsessing on lately. You have three ways to handle a quest)
-Visit the Tavern (The last player to enter Scarborough didn’t have access to a Tavern. Sorry, Shadow. Here you can play cards and ask about rumors, which is my way of providing hints and tips in-game about attacks, places, Legendary creatures, and the backstory to the game, which is actually rather interesting because I’ve put legit work into it and it ties into the current game)
