Are you familiar with the Rules of the Internet? There are 100 of them (most are irrelevent and/or disgusting) but a few are well-known. Feel free to look up the whole set on Urban Dictionary (shame on you), but in the interest of fairness I think we should have a set of Rules for Armor Games.

A few well-known (or generally agreed on) Internet rules are:
1. Do not talk about /b/
2. Do NOT talk about /b/
3. We are Anonymous.
--
8. There are no real rules about posting.
9. There are no real rules about moderation either â" enjoy your ban.
--
11. You must have pictures to prove your statement.
12. Lurk moar - it's never enough.
--
14. Do not argue with a troll - it means that they win.
--
16. There are NO girls on the internet.
--
31. CAPSLOCK IS CRUISE CONTROL FOR COOL.
32. EVEN WITH CRUISE CONTROL YOU STILL HAVE TO STEER.
--
34. (You already know Rule 34)
35. If no (Rule 34) is found, it will be created.
--
49. The internet makes you stupid.
50. Anything can be a meme.
--
62. The internet is SERIOUS FREAKIN' BUSINESS.

The "Rule of the Internet" are also up for discussion. So. "Rules of Armor Games" anyone?

Rule 58: AG3 is still in progress.

Rule 58-1: It will be done "soon."

I agree 55 is redundant, however I can't resist pointing out...

Rule 55: Dude is a name that will apply to anyone, regardless if they're a chick or a guy.

55-1: Except for Dudeguy. Dudeguy is always a guy.

But anyway yes I don't think we should be making specific rules about too many users, because they become obsolete when that user leaves, so you need to be relatively sure that users aren't going to up and leave at any given point in time too often (like what's the deal with daleks leaving?) When you've been around as long as I have on the other hand...

But there are users that we're probably never going to forget, such as pang for being weird and R2 for being creepy. People with over a thousand posts and are frequent in the forums can have rules more readily applied to them. We have 50 of them, though.

I think we should (if we can keep being original) get to 62, so 63 can be the last rule. Once we get there, I'll put it up for one last official vote. Strop, I'd appreciate it if you could get the others mods and an admin or two to look into it and see what they think. If you guys can make a general agreement on them, maybe one of you could sticky it. Otherwise, once it's done, it'll just fade out into the Necro section, unless people keep bumping it, and that's not cool.

Rule 35: If no (Rule 34) is found, it will be made.

Again, I think this is the final version. Some are kind of vague, so if you have a good idea, say which one you want replaced.

Potential Typo: Rule 59 doesn't look right. You probably mean this:

Rule 59: Armor Games is NOT "Pay to Play."

Also, why is there a space between rules 63 and 64?

I think a better number would be 16-5 since it's a misprint of a username.

Yeah, I messed that up. I'll fix it. There is a space between 63 and 64 because people, when encountering a long list or paragraph or whatever, often scroll down to the bottom to see if it's worth actually reading. I put "tl;dr" at the very end so that the lazy people will see it right away.

Rule 65: Calling GandalftheGrey666 Grey, means nothing because nobody would use that

If nobody uses it, why would it be a rule?

How does one die because of death?

You'll have to ask pang. He specifically said he killed you with death, I believe, on the "Something is Coming" thread.

18-1: because he is dead

Hmm. But then we already have a rule saying he is dead. The rules should be different, for the most part, and that's basically copy/paste. If that Rule came AFTER the "Sal is dead," then it would make sense. Unfortunately, in the correct order, Sal wouldn't tell us. Then pang killed him.

56-2: do not combine ferret with water

I'm not adding that one anyway. Movie references are out.

Rule whatever: Any thread created on April 1 will be regarded as an April Fools prank until April 2

Hm. I think saw that happen before. It seems like it should be a sub-rule, though, but I don't know where.

Rule 65: Don't post to rack up your post count.
Rule 66: If you see something, don't post about it on every mod's page. One is fine.
Rule 67: Trying to start a thread just to get attention will fail instantly.
Rule 68: Seriously. Just look at the first few pages before making a thread? Please?
Rule 69: Nobody cares about the awesome game you got unless they're your friend.
Rule 70: For God's sake, don't just go on rambling on threads. This is what we call "Derailing a thread".

I wanted to stop at 64. 63 is the funniest because it's Strip, then 64 is "tl;dr" for the lazy people. If you want to add new ones, I would rather replace them with rules that are redundant/not that good anyway.

65. Rule 49.
66. Hm. I hadn't thought of that. I'lll consider it.
67. True. Hm.
68. That's an excellent rule. I will definitely need to add it to the list.
69. I don't think that's really AG exclusive.
70. Meh. Maybe. I like 66 and 68.

I suggest you find pre-existing rules that 1. are too close or identical, 2. aren't particularly important, or 3. contradict each other. Then post them. Then replace them with one of the rules you suggested (66, 67 and 68 all have potential, especially 68, although Rule 60-1 more or less covers it).
