Is this very slow? I have no idea... But I was just wondering because my internet lags and sucks.

My Speed is 27.20 Mbps, according to SpeedTest.net. However I have seen some of my downloads do 200 Mbps sometimes, and other times we are down to kilobytes. My broadband is moody.

Killersup's internet is being even more ridiculous than normal. Youtube is not even loading a video. Two seconds in and it stops and it takes it literally 4 minutes to buffer to another two seconds into the video. With only 240p.

@IAgreeWithYou: Kansas Citty, it went to one of the Kansas Citty's even though they originally promised it to the other.

Sal.... My goodness, and I thought mine was bad...

Well, mine sounds actually pretty good. It's probably the best result I've ever get, but it's still under the 10mb I've hired - I'm not sure how that works, though.

Given that my brother's PC is occupying Wi-fi, and that the server used in the test is far from my city, I can say the speed is pretty good.

This proves how terrible my Internet is. I know I've told some of you many times, but this just proves it. We even have a pointless server redirect to Tulsa, OK despite the fact that the physical server is 10 miles away. Hurrah!

Hey, you could try testing that server manually... if it appears on the world map, you should be able to select it.

Eh... you should probably know that already, though. Sorry u.u

Hm. I guess I shouldn't be telling I get d/l 48.6 Mbps, u/l 2.49. I forget what it should be, but think that's decently close even.

Hey, the Netherlands where I'm at are supposed to be pretty well covered these days, what can you do. There's nothing exceptional about that account, either, just some cheapo deal, really; although I did upgrade it just one notch at some point. I don't envy some of you, and guess it serves as a good reminder as to the nature of some exasperated questions here.

And so, and while it is responding to an old comment above (from Belgium, typically, as in that's right next door to me),

I thought you guys lived in the US. What's with all this bad internet?

No, from what one hears, anything like a decent connection appears to be far from standard there still. QED, I guess. I think even dialup is far from a thing of the past there, still. (The same went for e.g. the UK, really not that many years ago. Perhaps a decade or so, by now, I don't know about today.)

ps

Where's this google fiber with 1000mbs?

They're busily fibering up the place where I'm at, and I don't wanna know what the accompanying ad blitz campaign alone costs, the one glossy folder after another. (It seems they really need those customers in order to realize a viable network, so go figure. I'm not sure really, but think the whole thing may fall through if they don't come up with those numbers, so, well. Should be some spectacle when it happens, or rather doesn't happen Bail out another company of some national pride, yes sir, ma'am.)

From what I gather though and if I'm not completely mistaken, word has it it doesn't actually have all that much to offer over cable connections, and so you may save yourself your dear pennies if they ever get around to your 'hood. Or at least, make sure you know what you sign up for then. I guess at 1GB/sec, asking yourself what equipment you'll need to make it worth your while may be a good next step.
