I am loath to hedge bets on whether foreign players will do well in a new league right off the bat though.

We can only hope he does well.

nichodemus do you think wenger should go? I like him but he hasn't brought us a trophy in like 8 years.

Was that a question?

I think he should continue what he's doing. We don't know the club's actual finances, although lots of people online think they do. They range from almost paying off the stadium debt, to flush in cash, but perhaps we can say the finances are getting better with the recent shirt deals.

Wenger seems to be interested in some youngsters recently (Sanago, Ruben, Grenier, etc) for the transfer market, and I don't think that poses a problem. Multifarious reasons. He's going to be the most experienced manager in the EPL, and the main rivals would be adjusting to their clubs. He would clear some deadwood (Squid and Arshavin at the least, when their contracts run out), so adding youngsters is not a bad idea. The core of the team is there, and their attitude these months is admirable (Grinding out wins no matter what). And most of the stars that played for Arsenal under his reign have been trained from youth, whilst stars that he brought in have flopped (Arshavin, Rosicky).

So, I think we'll just have to stick to believing in him, This season is our season.

The football team that I support is Arsenal because I live pretty close to the emirates (stadium). That, and they can play some beautiful football when they get their act together.

What do you mean when you say us , exactly?
I don't see you on the pitch or on the bench. I don't see you coaching, training or funding the club.

Us = Gooner Family. We're not the team, but we refer to ourselves to a collective group.

Which has recently subsided....at least it gave the Spuds one up the Arse.

Dunno, kinda irks me when supporters of any team say that. And living in the UK, I hear it a lot.
