As you start for the door you get tackled by a SWAT officer and end up on the floor underneath two other people.
You hear a click as your hands are cuffed behind your back and are picked up, held against the door. The law-enforcement units are marching rogues out of the bar, the push you into line and carry Merrin behind you.

One of the cops sneak up behind you and gags you, the other move a safe distance away, rubbing there shins.
As the bandits are shoved into a rough line there is a movement down the far end of the line from you.
A figure in a white cowboy hat begins strolling down the row of restrained rogues with a slight crunching sound as he steps on the gravely floor.
As he gets closer you see the glint of a badge on his lapel and a bandoleer of magnum cartridges on his chest.
Instead of classical lead bullets the cartridges seem to be tipped with halved pearls.

After going down the path for a few minutes you find yourself at the opening of large shapeless chamber filled with small ferns and apple trees.
Preventing you from entering is a locked fence made of white carved wood. You can hear someone clipping tree branches inside and whistling some cheerful tune.

As the man in the hat nears you he stops, peers at you through the corner of his eye for a second, and continues down the row.
After reaching the end of the line he shakes his head and gestures to a man in a Kevlar-vest "None of them are from Alezannder's men, take them up the cavern trail and bring them to the city."
With that he departs. The man in the Kevlar assumes authority and marches the convicts out of the chamber up a trail that hugs the side of a rock wall, over a deep cavern.
As you near the surface and a glint of sunlight begins to come into view there is a sudden crack of sniper rifle fire and a SWAT man a few feet across from you collapses to the ground, a bullet between his ribs.
Down the end of the line there is chaos, figures appearing seemingly out of thin air, spraying the law-men with machine-pistol fire.

Outside the tent you find yourself in a underground grotto about the size of a football field, most of it is full of clustered military tents.
As you peer outside you see someone coming this way, a field medic with sawn-off shotgun on his back. He enters the tent and utters a surprised sound upon seeing you standing up.
He gets right to the point and tells you he'd like to ask a few questions.
"Right, is there any-one in the lab?"

Those must be Alezannder's men. I break ranks with the other prisoners and dive for the nearest cover to wait the gunfire out. Then hopefully I can make my escape.

You find a ledge to hide behind and not a second to soon as the edge of the cliff is soon swamped with rebel forces.
The SWAT start fighting back, upholstering 9mm pistols and compact riot-guns. Soon the rocky floor is slick with civil blood.
There's no sign of Merrin.
