Ok, in this thread you simply post whatever bands, songs, or playlists you've been listening to recently. I don't believe this is a duplicate thread but I'm sorry if it is. One rule though- don't be a music snob/ elitist. A bit of debate is fine, but don't bully anyone out of the thread. If we're all respectful and open-minded, this is a great way to share music and maybe try something new.

The past few days I've been listening to a few songs by Wintersleep: "Nothing is Anything (Without You)" , "Weighty Ghost", and "Laser Beams." Aside from those, I haven't had much of a craving for anything in particular in the past few days and I've been using shuffle on my iPod.

FSK radio/Freies Sender Kombinat

... Which btw through various corners & free associations brought me back to NY/New Jersey's WFMU. Seem to be going strong as ever, much listening pleasure.

Hello Brooklyn - All Time Low.

It's too blisteringly teenage like, with their faux-aching hearts caused by having a tragic life due to ''growing up'', but it brings back alot of fond memories of those years.

Which had somehow reminded me, btw, of Poison Girls' "Statement."

Also, their ... America.

And it, of Skeleton Crew's "We're Still Free." Featuring the late Tom Cora again, mentioned earlier, together with Fred Frith.

With the Poison Girls, check also their "State Control And Rock And Roll."

& A happy new year, and all that

I'm on a 80's Queen binge right now. At this moment I'm listening to "Who Wants to Live Forever" from the A Kind of Magic album

Actually, this version seems to be the current meme on YouTube, I suspect due to some compilation album having come out or so. This is the version I know and like better (.mp3 track): http://www.kersplebedeb.com/poisongirls/state_control.mp3 .

& Then forgive me my eternal multi-posting 'specially on this thread, but then one thing leads to another, and so
Skeleton Crew's "We're Still Free."
Also amazingly pretty, their "Factory Song."

... Reminding one, of course, of Patti Smith's "Piss Factory." The latter's "Rock 'n' Roll ******" of course can't be beaten, anyhows.
