I Pre-ordered GTA V a couple of weeks ago and was already excited by the level of Interactivity in a Realtime world larger than both GTA IV and RDR combined. But until I saw that the online was not only an infinitely expanding story around an open fully functioning universe, But also basically an MMO, I wasn't expecting too much to change. When I saw the Online it was like watching real life in my opinion. I haven't really seen any Cons to what Rockstar is shelling out next month but weather you're a diehard fan or hate the series, Based on what you've seen in the latest trailer, Give me your opinion of the online gameplay.

For it being an online game, I'm super impressed that the graphics. I mean, I knew it was going to be advanced, but that was just really impressive. However, I am concerned story-line wise. If its an MMO how can it possibly follow a story-line? It would be based on every character, not just one. This kind of ruins the story-line/cannonology.

RDR had, in my opinion, the best multiplayer of any Xbox 360 game, and I doubt I'm alone. I wouldn't be surprised if Rockstar is looking to blow its competitors out of the water again. :P

All the activities look fun, but they'll only be fun if you have a crew. Otherwise it'll be like RDR and GTA IV, where everyone kills each other.

This needs to be playable on a PC. I'm not really a console guy anymore but this game sounds like fun. Microsoft is behind Xbox. Why don't they just make it Windows compatible?

Why don't they just make it Windows compatible?

Because then Mac users will riot and Linux users will brag about how the game works better for them.

But in all seriousness, NVIDIA assumed this was already a reality, but later called it back because they jumped the gun.

Original article:

NVIDIA has been spilling some beans lately. First they confirmed the existence of a Microsoft MSFT Surface RT follow up, for which theyâre handling processing duties (presumably a Tegra 4). Now, the company has given PC gamers a heaping helping of hope by flat-out stating that Rockstar Gamesâ Grand Theft Auto V will release for PC this fall.

The reveal occurred during an earnings call (transcribed by Seeking Alpha and spotted by Crave Online) hosted by Chris Evenden, NVIDIAâs Senior Director of Investor Relations. Evenden was outlining the changes in the PC market â" changes which PC gamers are affecting â" before he explained that the demographic is âpreparing their systems for a strong roster of games coming this fall, including blockbuster franchises, such as Call of Duty: Ghosts, Grand Theft Auto V and Assassinâs Creed IV.â

You can rest assured that isnât a random trio of titles. NVIDIA is working directly with Ubisoft developers to optimize Assassinâs Creed IV, and past Call of Duty partnerships exist between Activision and NVIDIA. Maybe weâll see the game bundled with an existing GeForce GTX graphics card?

Perhaps NVIDIA even has a hard release date for GTA V under their hat, but the âfallâ window is still reassuring. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions land on September 17, meaning PC users may not have to wait long for what they know will be the superior version of the game.

In the past, Rockstar Games has been slow to adopt PC ports of their popular titles, and in some cases â" like Red Dead Redemption â" those ports never materialized. With such a high profile release, anticipated by a burgeoning PC gaming audience, Grand Theft Auto fans took to Change.org recently to petition Rockstar to release a PC version of GTA V. The petition currently has 314,000 signatures. If NVIDIAâs words ring true, that petition wonât be necessary.

This information comes just days before Rockstar is poised to unveil the details of GTA Vâs multiplayer component. I've reached out to both Rockstar and NVIDIA for any further clarification.

And the following update:

An NVIDIA spokesperson has offered this official response; whether you believe it or not falls to you:

[quote]âPlease note, during our Thursdayâs earnings call, our investor relations team provided a list of important games that gamers are looking forward to on PC this fall, and included Grand Theft Auto V on that list. This statement was made with the intent of expressing enthusiasm for the games industry in general, and was not intended to represent specific knowledge possessed by NVIDIA. NVIDIA does not have information on any possible PC version release of Grand Theft Auto or its availability. We deeply regret the error.â

If the BB Code doesn't work right I'm going to repost.
