Arriving closer to it, the sensation of frigid cold is replaced with searing heat, which is much more uncomfortable and much more sapping of your energy.

In fact, the closer you get to the star, the weaker you feel, and the weaker you feel, the closer you get to the star. It seems to be pulling you with a force of its own, drawing away moisture and leaving you almost bone-dry.

As you slowly come to consciousness, you feel...fine. As if you laid down for a little nap.

A sudden jolt of pain takes your attention away from the beast. The light and heat are burning you extremely quickly, much faster than it should. You quickly reason your powers of darkness directly clash with the intensity of the sun.

That's a good point; not all of the gods would have been spawned when Earth was first formed. I put a note at the top of this update about that.

That's fine; however, I changed it to 25 years; it's about when the catastrophe happened. Is that okay?

I would lightly suggest slightly redistributing your skills to have a more even arrangement. Even if it's only a point, it's good to have a little balance, as you never know when you'll need it.
