Yes! It's time to dress for the cold and have those wonderful snowball fights, make your own snowman, decorate the Christmas tree, wonder what Santa's going to bring you, BUT... FIRST, we need you to make some excellent art for the Armatar Contest! The rules never changed! Here they are once more...
# ARMATAR CONTEST GUIDELINES :
1) All entries must be appropriate. They cannot be offensive or profane in nature. Keep it clean!
2) The entry must be square, and at least 100x100 pixels in dimension.
3) Your entry must scale down well to 100x100. So if it is larger, make sure that it will still look good when it is scaled down to the actual armatar size. Here are a few suggestions about this :
~ Sometimes keeping it simple is better. If you go into a lot of detail, it might not look as great when you scale it down. So keep in mind what the final size will be and check often how it looks when it is scaled down.
~ Remember to save a lot while you are making it! Better to delete 20 -in between made- save files later on, than ending up with something you actually don't like...
~ If you are able to do vector, by all means! That can help with the sharpness of the image. However, since they are so small this is probably not a big issue.
4) Must be completely original. You cannot use elements from other pieces of artwork, the entire armatar must be 100% created by you.
Plagiarism will not only exclude your submission by means of disqualification, it will also exclude you from participation in any future contests AND will have further consequences!
5) Must be fitting to the current contest's theme. If a certain entry is debatable to whatever extend, a mod or admin will give the decisive and final ruling for submission.
The contest will remain open untill mid/end January, so there's more than enough time for you to enter your artwork! Closing date will be announced whenever it's time...
Allright! Grab your pencils and paper, and/or your mouse and start making your wonderful original works of art! Be creative! Amaze us! =)
Right, that's that... now, where's my hot coco? Ah! *blows* ...hmmmm... Yumm! ^^

Winter Idyll (500x500)
Winter Idyll (100x100)
This doesn't look very good at such small size. It's quite blurred, but they're supposed to be snow-covered trees... I may redo it if I have the time
And something I did quite fast with Paint and it's pretty, mmm, basic: Christmas tree ornament.
New ones uploaded.
My attempt at Aurora Borealis.
Did you make that unicorn yourself Ivan? =)
My neighbor has such a picture on the car rear window,so I
watched and drew it using MS Paint.I hope that is not a problem.
Painting god. ^^
Made a fairly simple design as I don't like anything too complicated, hope you like it
hmm hope this works
wow much more submissions then the last contest. this is exciting to see what other peoples armatars might be submitted. all of them are so good
How many Armatars are each user allowed to submit?
An unlimited amount of submissions is allowed for every user! As long as you made them according to the rules of the contest (see page 1) and you will only be awarded 1 Merit per contest you enter. =)
Oh great, I'll come up with more ideas for Winter Armatars then.
