I almost believed her too ⦠It just seemed too nasty to be true, so I rode the fence until now! Now I'm disgusted that she'd slander people so that she could milk the situation! I'm almost as disgusted by her as I am with the Westboro bafoons! What are your thoughts on the matter?

There will always be people opportunistic enough for such situations; and the bigger it is, the better it works, right?

I don't even get why, according to the article, the waitress got donations?! Can I post some made up evidence in the internet of me being discriminated, or real evidence of bullying in school, and get a few thousand dollar in donations? Of course if she had gone to court to ask for compensation the fraud would have been unveiled fast..
If anything, this case raises questions to me about internet donations..

^. The waitress was probably just hoping to get attention because she saw others were. And yeah, people are opportunists.

I think she brought it up at some gay/homosexual convention thing and someone set up an online donation site and people gave her money in support. She then said she'd give a lot of the money to charity in order to acquire more money and yet didn't. â¦but that's just what I think I read yesterday on one of the several sources I looked at.
