The player looks down on battles from above. The terrain is divided into a grid. many units can be bought outside (and inside?) the battle, such as machine gunners, snipers, mortar teams, platoons, battalions, tanks, etc. people are portrayed as dots, and tanks are drawn out and move through the squares on the grid. outside the battles is the campaign map, where income can be got and ammunition can be bought, and the map is divided into a bunch of regions which can be invaded by the players' army or invaded by the enemy's army. It was an extremely fun and strategic game. It may have been called commanders or something.
