Happend sometimes.
Seems it has something to do with lenght of the actual shown threadtopic --> long topic = changed size, normal topic = normal size.

Oh so it is a glitch...

Nope they just wanted to make sure the amount of forums on a page is still the same.... The spam that ends up being long makes this more constant.
