I think it 19912 is partially right that school is to grade us but in some schools or For some teachers curiosity is important but the system is like that grades is important.

@19912, should I assume that you received a poor grade and are now trying to console yourself by pinning the blame on the education system?

I'm thinking he is blaming the culture of studying, of cramming, of endless hours spent on preparations, burning the midnight oil, etc. It's pretty prevalent and well known in many Asian societies (China, India, Korea, Singapore, etc), and could be down to our cultural roots (Such as Confucianism, and the emphasis on diligence, we even have temples to pray for good grades, good grief). If that is what 19912 is referring to, then I can't help but empathize, because I've been there before. Horror stories of students in China buying pure oxygen tanks in order not to pass out, parents buying pills for their daughters so their cycles don't mess up their exams, countless ''roven'' brain foods being shoved down our throats, students planning well ahead in their years the exact steps to be taken to enter the top universities in the world (Hey, don't you wonder why there're so many of us in the Ivys/Oxbridge?!) etc.

Then I think to myself, who is to be blamed for this? Aren't we all part of the system itself, and the constant fuel that pushes this insane rat race to get the highest grades?

Anyway, I guess introducing a movie reflecting on such educational stress/systems isn't going to do any harm. Three Idiots is a funny and touching movie of college life in India. Of course, being film, you'll have to sift the grains of truth from the falsehoods.

i never blamed Asian countries

We people just never gone the race for those grades be practical and think that do you want to give any examination's?

If we're not part of the race, then why the great upset over the gaping holes in the education system? On the contrary, we have quite a bit of vested interest in a process that shapes us and plays a large part in our life paths.

1st off, i cba about the topic. it sounds just stupid to me..
now i only want to post this link for you all. (well... for those that like to educate themselves.) at some point in your life when your done with school and you need to get a job. you all will wish that you were back in school. i know it sounds cliche, i didn't believe it either, cause i hated school. but it's true, and you all will find out.
