There is another thread, but that, In my opionion, is relatively undiscussive, and general.

There have been a new crime wave, of metal theft(England/UK)
E.G. Copper roofing stolen, wrought iron manholes nicked, and a pair of bronze propellars, etc etc.

This metal is sold to International Scrap Dealers, for example, copper wiring goes at, around £3500 a tonne, or around $7000.
Around 33% of the metals are sent to China, and 66% sent to Asia in general.

Nearly everyday, we see the words, 'Made in China' on many things. Cheap toys, Electronics, etc.
They were seen as exporting Deflation, as materials are cheap for them.

Now, it seems they are exporting Inflation, many areas in which the objects are sent to, are swamped by the many cheap luxury goods, while basic needs, like food, raise in price, by, in places such as Zimbabwe, up to thousands of percent.

It has been said, that China uses up alot of the worlds materials, and for every £1, or $1.95 of goods produced, they use over 5 times as much energy than a country like the US, for example.

There have also been talks in China, about how they would prop up other countries when they fell down, from inflation.

They have a tight grip on the worlds economy, and they won't let go.
This gives them all the power they want, and need.

SPOONFED:
Discuss:

- China as a political, industrial power
- The un-rarity of Chinese manufactured goods
- How China is taking control of our lives
- Your thoughts

Warning!

I don't want to see people writing about 'USA's economy is better than China's' 'We can nuke them...' This is a political discussion, not war or for idiots to spam in biase to the USA.

And, if Nuclear Weapons were used, it would create massive amounts of radiation, and start a nuclear war.
You want to die by radiation poisoning?
Not a pretty way to go.

I stated in the other thread, that China could take over the world quite soon, and that i believed it. How? I said that it was NOT by military action, but by their economy. They have a great economy, if not the best. They can easily control the world's resources, and control the world with an iron grip. They can possibly destory any other country that opposes them.

Now, alot of people say that the U.N. or something will stop China once they become a threat. The U.N., by that time, will be to late to do anything that will affect the course of ecnomy. Why? Well, if China wants to be in control of the world, and China has all the resources, what can the U.N. do? All they can do is make empty threats or attempt to use military action. Since China's population is very large, and they have the strongest army in the country, it would be improbable to take over China.
(As a footnote, many people say U.S. has the strongest army. That is false. The U.S. has a better Navy and Air Force then China, but China has the largest and strongest land force army.)

Again, China's economy is not even close to matching the US. If the US economy was at 0% growth, and China's was at 10%, it would take 120+ years for them to match the United States economy.

Yes, they are growing. But the US is growing as well, as is so far ahead. It's not even a competition.

So, listman, China has covered more Industrial ground in 30 years, than the western world, e.g. UK, US, Europe, have, in the last 200 years, and they are growing somehow slower than the US?

China has a lot of labour, a larger number than USA has, with most people employed in a 'tertiary' job, that is, giving a service, e.g. Fireman, Pro Sports players, School teachers, The President etc etc.

This is talking about industry, not economics listman, could you read the whole post, and not just the first paragraph?

And how, can they only be growing that slow, when you can find more than 5 products in any average household, that are made in China?

How can you say it will take 120+ years for it to match, when it took the US over 100 years to get to where China is, which took them, 20 years?
