ForumsGamesGemcraft CS: 'Mana spent' stats wrong (way too low)?

Never had paid attention to that:
For the first time I wanted to know how much mana I had spent and had a ingame-look at the 'Mana spent' stats. There seems to be something wrong, the stats are extremely low (im still playing a game on 1.0.15)?
I had a quick look then at some endgame-statistics in the enduance thread:
The relation between 'highest mana reached' and 'mana spent' seems to confirm my assumption, as 'highest mana reached' is always much higher than 'mana spent' (sometimes multiplied by like 1k, once by 6k, ....), which cant be correct, can it?
Does anybody have an explanation?

I think the gem costs and stuff use 32-bit to store info(or whatever its called), which limits maximum input to 2^31 - 1(a little over 2 billion). Once it goes over, t turns negative and will go back to positive I think. And/Or it turns into "???"

Yeah I think it turns into ???.

In addition to what thunderrider said, it also just doesn't count right. It's wrong as early as a grade 4 gem.
