What would one need in order to develop games using adobe flash player? I wouldn't call myself highly skilled, but I have taken an AP computer science class (based on the language Java), so would that qualify me to create flash games? or is it a different language?
Also is it free to create flash games?
And do you use a specific program?
Thanks in advance.

you can use a tool called Stencyl. Check out Stencyl : www.stencyl.com
Stencyl is a desktop application for Windows, Linux, and Mac computers. The desktop lets you build a Flash game by creating the gameâs atmosphere and dragging the relevant blocks that the game offers.
