Using 5.94 Leech +0.275/HL 32-S Mana Gem.

Using 64 Combine.

Using +97% Freeze Duration Talisman

Decided that if everyone else is doing it, I might as well exploit Shards too. Heh.

Field U4 Haunting - Maxed except Swarmlings(reason below).

1e15 / 999 Waves / 999 Monsters / 69.70 Multiplier / 35 Pool Multiplier Estimate / 2.41 Talisman Multiplier = ~170,000 XP per monster required.

Now, the reasoning. Even before the Freeze Debuff that Swarmling Domination brings, it already drastically reduces the base XP.

See - Base Endurance = Unknown % Norm/Swarm/Giant.

Giant Endurance = U*1.35 Giants. Giants give 50% more XP than normals, and assuming that the extra % of giant waves decreases the % of swarm & normal waves(duh), that bonus increases further.

So I estimate that having 35% more Giants and 0% more Swarms would give ~33%(0.33) * 0.35 * 150% = +17%.

Furthermore, 33% * 1.35 = 44.55% total giant waves. Reducing both Normal and Swarm by ~5.5%, yes?

swarms give 0.5x XP. 33% -5.5% = 27.5%. 33%/27.5% = +20% more XP from less swarm waves(I think).

Now, plug it into the above formula for XP/monster. If you change 69.70x to 78.10x, you need ~146,000 XP. If you divide 170,000 by 1.2 AND 1.17, you get... 121,000.

That's my reasoning anyway. Also, with the Freeze Debuff with that trait, that already counts for +10% extra xp/monster in my book for that much less risk and hassle. Therefore, that is why I refuse to play Swarmling Domination.

Some Freeze #s...

12-19 = base

+97% duration = 24-37.

-63% duration = 8-13.

Cooldown = 7.

Anyway, time to Mana Farm!

Messed up, restarted, it's going much better. I forgot about Cleansing Beacons earlier...blame my GC hiatus.

Anyway, I fought at least 6 shadows in the first 10 waves..was pretty difficult, with 100sec lock, had to use a G6 ampgem with beam to kill the first 2 shadows(wave 2 & wave 4).

how much does the manalock trait increase difficulty for an endurance run attempt?

been thinking about doing the same for a time now, usually always played with everything maxed except manalock

The difficulty is IMHO not increased (sufficient WL provided!) Only a little more patience...

IMO it's only increased in the first 10 waves IF you face multiple shadows and don't want to kill any monsters at the same time.With max Lock & Haste you gain mana every 6 waves, so it's a bit hard, yeah.

1e+5 monsters...

I think I'm the first person insane enough to have that many at one time, right? Massive DamageIncrease farm.

That doozy of wave 111 is for my farming later on.

Snazzy monster number-

Cool huh?

lag is surprisingly really not bad.

1.6 million damage with hits on bloodbound, 287k without hits. Wicked both ways.

Don't forget to farm hits, best with red g1!

By the time I'm done enhancing I'll have >40M hits, more than enough. Especially with E60 giants in there.

I'll have some 180,000 monsters to gem enhance on

Edit. Is my 123456 monsters the most monsters ever on screen for anyone?

At least I had never more than 20 or 30k on screen! And 40.000.000 hits sounds much, but that is "only" hitlevel 30 - you should consider to farm more than 2 or 3.3 bn hits for hitlevel 38/39. Once the killgem is ready you don't get too many hits on it!

Mmmm, my killgem will farm over 1 trillion hits before killing any E60 monsters unless its grade 80+ so I don't need to care about that hehe.

Over one trillion... Sorry, I don't think so!
One trillion would be hitlevel 50 and as far as I know no one ever had so many hits... Even Borthel on his one-month-lasting run has "only" 300-something bn!
bn=10^9 =1.000.000.000
trillion=10^12 = 1.000.000.000.000

I didn't say it WOULD. I said it'd TAKE 1 trilion hits to kill an E60 giant with a G70 ish gem.
