I'll start.
There was one effect in particular that I used a lot:
"Subversion: 12% chance to repair n HP when your ship takes damage."
With this I quickly realised that I could heal a lot of health if I purposely got hit by all the low damage attacks. I used this item even when it was outdated in terms of stats (77 total vs 150+ on my other items).
This strategy also complements those counter-attack items.

However, later in the game there are less enemies that have low damage attacks.

All are max level 5

Did you find yourself getting gany good items from standard cargo boxes? Black market? Secret mission cargos?

Wow, I didn't think there were any items that had a percentage effect. How rare were those?

Also, I found out that the "subversion" effect can still heal HP when the ship gets hit while having an odin/ion shield. That means no damage is taken because of the shield, but there is still a 12% chance of healing HP from every hit. Quite overpowered.

The 50% heal does sound very overpowered.
You could get two of those and two revenge items and just stay stationary.

Still looking for item that has 50% heal, my best healing item is normal item KAMI SCREEN lv 5 subversion type with 1209 HP and rare item KAMI SERVO lv 5 repair type with 1160 HP. Would love to have any secret item of this type.

I have Evira and Anvindr ships, both I got from normal play except life cheat. I never buy credits for ships or items.

I used anvindr when fight bosses, and replace KAMI SCREEN VX either with Damage item or recovery item.
