Story

The sky has existed alongside the world of Terrus ever since the Era of Creation, but no one knew exactly what the sky was or what purpose it served. Some saw it as a barrier, a layer of protection that kept the outside forces from harming the world and its inhabitants, and as well as a way to keep them from going out. Others came to associate it with a gateway, a portal to other worlds, a way to other dimensions and locations. But most came to revere it as a god, and they aptly named their new god, Skaia.

For thousands of years, the Terrans lived in peace and harmony. The numerous races that inhabited the world co-existed and got along with each other. Small conflicts between nations happened from time to time, but never something chaotic as a full-blown war. And so, the Terrans came to enjoy their peace. But with all stories, their peace would soon come to an end.

That day would have been like any other day, if not for the fateful catastrophe that struck that day. A solar eclipse occurred, blocking out most of the sun and covering the world in darkness. The Terrans were confused, they had not seen something like this happen before. Some were amazed, some were confused, and others were terrified. But none of them were prepared for the horror that was to come.

Almost all over the world, masses of dark energy fell from the sky, bombarding the land and causing mass panic and hysteria. The world sustained plenty of damage, and casualties were many. But that was not all, as from the black smoke that rose from the craters, emerged the very first monsters. The Terrans were not prepared for such a threat, and so, the monsters went on a terrible rampage throughout Terrus, laying waste to towns and cities, killing thousands of inhabitants. Thus, that day came to be known as The Day the Sky Fell.

Five years later, most of the world's population had been killed off by the initial onslaught of the monsters, but thanks to that, the Terrans rebelled and fought back, successfully driving off the monsters. Together, the Terrans sought to rebuild their ruined world, even with the imminent threat of the monsters still looming by. Only five years ago, their world was full of life and color, but now, it was bathed in darkness and death. Though the chances are bleak, they fight to bring back the world they once knew. You are one of these Terrans.

With the story out of the way, let's establish some rules.

Gaining Stats

In this game there are no levels, instead, you get stronger through ALL of the actions that you do. For example, if you lift something heavy or kick down a door you'll gain experience in your Strength stat. Once you gain enough experience for that stat, it will go up and you'll have to get more experience again.

Races

Human - The Humans are a versatile and well-rounded race, equally excelling in all stats. Humans have a 1.0x experience modifier for all stats.

Half-Giant - Standing at 8 ft. tall, the Half-Giant is well-suited for melee combat. The Half Giant gets a 1.5x experience modifier for Strength and Constitution, but gain stats in Agility and Intelligence at a 0.5x rate. Half-Giants make good warriors.

Elf - The Elves are an extremely intelligent as well as agile race. As a result, they get a 1.5x experience modifier for Intelligence and Agility, but gain stats in Strength and Constitution at a 0.5x rate. Elves make good archers and mages.

Dwarf - Although they are short compared to other races, the Dwarves are much sturdier compared to races such as the Humans and Elves. Dwarves gain Strength and Constitution at a 1.25x rate, but gain Agility and Intelligence at 0.75x rate.

Half-Dragon - Considered to be the fiercest race in Terrus, Half-Dragons make extremely good warriors. They gain Strength, Constitution and Agility at a rate of 1.25x, making them extremely fierce on the battlefield, but as a result they gain Intelligence at an incredibly slow rate of 0.25x.
