It is a deep sea fishing game. You are a little circle and you dive into the water and shoot a harpoon at these stick-like fish. They are cut by the harpoon and you swim over them to put them into your inventory. You also find little notes throughout the game and this progresses the story line. You can sell your fish when you return to your raft. You can purchase a compass, better equipment to dive deeper, and a better harpoon. The deeper you go the larger the "Fish" get, and they try to eat you. In the end you run into another fisher-type mysterious guy who kills you. But then you return with a new cool harpoon thing.
