I think it would be cool to have more titles besides Knight even if it doesn't come with anything. After all this is the Kingdom of Armoria. And obviously we don't need all the titles listed below.

Emperor
King
Archduke
Grand Duke
Grand Prince
Prince / Infante
Duke
Sovereign Prince / Fürst
Marquess / Marquis /
Margrave / Landgrave
Count / Earl
Viscount / Vidame
Baron
Baronet
Hereditary Knight
Knight
Esquire
Gentleman

Actually we used to have ranks before. Those were for points earned from posting, commenting, rating games, earning merits and submitting games. It has been removed because people would spam all over the site just for points. So instead of a rank system, the AG team introduced a Quest system, which is basically the equivalent of the trophy system on PSN. Or, the simplest way to put, achievements.

Knighthood doesn't exactly display rank, and it isn't for status either. It is bestowed upon the users who contribute to the community immensely.

"'Knighthood': What is a 'Knight'? And what does 'Knighthood' mean?

'Knighthood' and the title 'Knight' is bestowed upon a user that has shown exemplary deeds and outstanding behavior as a member of the Armor Games Community. This exclusive title is only granted to those users that have earned a special place among the citizens of the Kingdom.

How do I become a Knight?

Care about the community and other users and catch the eye of moderators or admins, they are the ones who choose who is Knighted. Don't ask to be Knighted, that's a good way not to be Knighted." - Ferret, quoted from the Official What is a Knight thread.

[rant]This proposal is terrible. The whole point of ranking is to make authority figures easy to identify, and the liability for confusion is great enough with only one non-authoritative title.

Looking at your examples, we see a few more issues.

Emperor: Requires more than one kingdom. Otherwise, this would belong to McNeely.
King: This would also belong to McNeely.
Grand Duke, Grand Prince, Prince / Infante: These would only be applicable to McNeely's children.
Hereditary Knight: Why is this even on the list?
Knight: (see above)
Esquire, Gentleman: The user profiles have already been criticized for having only three gender options.
Everything else: All ranks between Knight and Sovereign. These should belong to moderators and administrators, so handing them out as fluff titles would be disastrous.

Clearly, this will not work. Therefore, we should not have more titles.[/rant]

I have to agree with Mr. Preferred on this subject, the idea has already been discussed many times before and every-time it has been rejected for the simple reason to dissuade confusion. New members wouldn't know the levels in the hierarchy and would ask the wrong people for assistance, the way it is now, with five levels, Admin, Mod, Knight, User and Dev, is fine as it is. It's clear and concise and easy to remember. Now in saying this I would love to have such titles handed out to those who help the community but it's just not feasible.

Also, this v
Viscount / Vidame
Baron
Baronet
Hereditary Knight

should be this v
Viscount / Vidame
Baron / Baronet
Hereditary Knight
