since shots per seconds are caped due hw restrictions why not make the beam skill more powerful?
e.g. a high grade gem had before the last update of GC 2000hits/sec. this is caped to 48 hits/second now. I would like to see now this: when activating the beam skill the beam makes a dmg of dmg_of_gem*old_dps_value/x every 1/x seconds; where x is a reasonable number the hw can handle. this should also apply to specials.
Shots per second has always been capped. The limit is 2 shots per frame.
The recent update did nothing but change the displayed number.
Having the game simulate multiple shots at once by multiplying damage dealt and specials might be nice, but it's unlikely to be implemented when doing so would make the already OP manafarming strategy even more powerful.
