Rand Paul announced he is running (Dr. Mr Moderators: I am not advertising or endorsing as far as I know, if you think I am, then specify please) as a candidate for the 2016 Presidential Elections in the USA. What do you guys think of Rand Paul?
Brief summary: he announced Tuesday that he is running as a presidential candidate for the 2016 Elections as a Republican candidate.

Personally, I support Rand. Although he is often seen as having libertarian views (I'm for laissez-faire styled government and laissez-faire economics), I think he's the best candidate for the GOP/Republican Party, although Ted Cruz is also a popular choice. In CPAC, Rand Paul placed in first on the straw poll.

What do you guys/y'all think?

@Kalania I am unsure what parts to address in your response since it trails very far from Rand Paul & policy and goes very deep into employment and leads into a topic that would involve discussion on things such as the factors behind why we have these problems in the first place. If you would like to continue, I would gladly address you on another thread about employment or wages. I am very tempted to address what you've pulled up, but I fully understand this thread isn't the best place and might be seen as a bad place by a moderator, though if a moderator grants me permission, I will gladly address you (in fact, it might have been better for me to post this on your wall).

The jobs in ND I am referring to come from the North Dakota oil boom, which there are numerous articles about it, and although it's over, there's tons of jobs available. There are many articles and it's been a topic on the news for a long while, though not so much now. So, as far as citing my sources go (mostly as a result of popular discussion here in the oil capital of the world, Houston, TX), here are related articles:

Basically you've stated that these problems do not exist in a previous post and used that to justify your policy opinions. I was simply stating that they do.

If you'd like to talk about any of these things in a separate thread, feel free to kick it off.
