One morning, you awake in a new world. You live life as best as you can in that one, then you wake in another. And another. And then four more, until you enter the first again, in which only one night has passed. Something is wrong, and you intend to set it right. You know that you are slowly going insane, living several lives at once, because the information in your head travels with you, but the items you carry don't. Things are coming to you, like the fact that there are... "Dream daggers?" In each of these worlds, which will allow you to end them. Life will be difficult, but in the end, you will prevail. If you don't, you don't know what will happen.

"Skin feels funny? Alrighty then. Option one is that it's ironskin, in which case we need to go steal another vial from somewhere... Or it's deathtouch." She steps forward slowly. "In the case that it's deathtouch, you're going to leave the plane on autopilot, use your skills to leave the plane stealthily, sneak around the base, touch the guards and kill them when you need to, so that you can go steal and leave with that huge case of Portal essence. Then, come to the plane, ask it nicely to take you back to HQ, and deliver the case, save us from slavery, and have a fantastic time. Otherwise, we'll need to try the second vial." She touches you on the hand. "Well, I'm not dead, so we have to go with option two. You may or may not be knocked out again. You ready?"

"Anyway, we have to go before-" a high pitched scream echoes from the woods. "Too late for that! Jack with us, or dead! At this point, just choose fast!" The unit starts moving out, with an apparent haste.

So, because we were short on time, HQ sent you and Zai, your temporary partner whose sleeping towards the back, to retrieve the shipment of augmentations they just recieved. Now, hold still." She pulls out a solid black vial, and inserts it into your machine. "Now are you ready?"

It starts whirring, similar to a centrifuge, before it's injected into your arm, bringing sharp pain, just before you pass out.

You wake up and exit your pod. You dawn your power suit, and not a moment later, the mission info area on your Heads Up Display lights up. "Report to briefing." You look around your room. As you're not allowed to have pictures, the only things next to your pod are the nuts and bolts you're been stealing to put in your dimensional pocket at some point. On the wall with the door is a shelf, holding your science equipment, which includes a centrifuge, an infuser, several flasks, an eye dropper, and an analyser. The rest of the hud lights up, telling you the suit power, the power output, the damaged modules (of which there are none), and the rifts near your location (thankfully there aren't any for a couple miles). The mission info section lights up again. "This isn't your time to sleep Cassandra. Report to briefing."
