Good news: I have quasi-completed this game when it came out.
Bad news: no quests popped up immediately after loading the game.
Fortunately, my save was the most convenient it could've been. I've stopped a match before my 3rd Grand Final, had my kitties trained at 300/60/55, had got almost all costumes (except one bronze, a few silver and the last four golden, which where unobtainable at that time) and equipment (except the last Nutrition level).
Shopper, Irrepressible*, Master, Fighter and Oh My God triggered at their respective actions. Winner triggered at winning the Shark Division (again). Champion triggered at winning the Grand Final (again). Good Camp triggered at buying the only remaining upgrade.
Irrepressible
Win A Battle While Any Kitty Has 3 Injuries.
Probably means "Win a battle while there are at least 3 injuries in your team", since I got it with three kitties each having one injury (3x1 as opposed to 1x3). . TL;DR - 8/8, no need to replay the game from scratch. .
Got 5/8 yet (they all unlocked without any problems, to trigger "Oh My God" i had to open the costumes tab after i got the last one).
The one with the three injuries is a little bit random, the other two required a restart for me (had all silver costumes and every equipment was also maxed out)... so i restart to get those three... sooner or later
Had some problems with Irrepressible. 3 injuries on one didnt work, as 1 injury on 3. Then I stopped healing my cats and battle, won with 6 injuries total (2x2+2x1) gave me this one.
Started the game from scratch today, all quests are working fine.
Tip - don't buy the last upgrade for "Nutrition" (the one that costs 6k+ fish), it did absolutely nothing for me. With the 2nd upgrade I was already healing to full energy every turn spent eating.
Overall a very 'meh' game, which was disappointing since previous Strike Force Kitty games have been at least decent.
This one is just completely mindless. Train your kittens, lose battles because you start off pathetically weak, train more until you have enough stats to win the tournament. Then horribly lose the super cup because it's balanced for an end game team. Then auto promote to the next tournament, lose horribly because you once again start of pathetically weak compared to THIS group, train more until you have more stats to win, and repeat.
Costumes have zero depth to them. Unlike previous games they give no stat bonuses, they only give you access to a single activated ability each. And since some abilities are utterly OP broken (whistle) and others are basically worthless (heal), it means the bulk of costumes will never be used.
'Injuries' are an utterly pointless mechanic. They are cured in a single turn after one hospital upgrade. BTW the Injury quest is definitely broken. I got it with 2 injuries on 1 cat and 1 injury on another (and NOT all 3 types of injuries).
This leads to a very un-fun game. After you realize what is going on, after promoting to a new tournament the actual best strategy to use is to not even try to win fights. Just train 100% of the time and ignore matches, surrender as soon as they start. Do that for 2 full circuits until you have enough stats to MAYBE win the circuit, and then fight battles.
Then just rinse and repeat until you can beat the final circuit. Then just mindlessly play through the super cup 4 times to get the final 4 gold costumes (stupid because if you beat it once the next 3 are a cakewalk with more training as you go through the qualifying tournament). Then just buy any costumes you missed and presto, 100% achievements.
Zero replayability, because you'd just start at the beginning and go through the same boring training grind.
Overall, very shallow game with zero replay value. Very disappointing.
Perhaps Irrepressible is not broken (Other than the description of all injuries on one cat). You just need to win the next battle after the one you got the injuries in.
