All quests worked for me. Took less than 2h, if inner achievement timer do not lie to me.
Pretty ... meh. TD without any bright features, except maybe setting. 2 main types of enemy, 3 types of tower. Nothing to remember. Decent, but not impressive.
Very shallow TD game to start off with, and then to top it off the towers are so hideously unbalanced as to make anything but specific towers totally worthless.
Level 2 rifleman is BETTER at killing infantry than a fully upgraded sniper. It is utterly unacceptable that this kind of imbalance is present in a finished game.
The alleged anti-tank unit is utterly worthless because in the excessive time it takes for him to lock on, the tower has either died or a TOW would have killed the target anyway.
@nichodemus - Any level can be beaten on veteran by simply putting 1 Recon upgraded to SOFLAM and 2 level 2 rifleman at any entrance and filling the rest with grenadiers upgraded to TOW's. Level 7 is the only one that requires deviation from this pattern (to win you have to only upgrade top right and bottom left SOFLAM to level right below max so they only mark troop carriers, then replace riflemen with TOW's so they 1 shot the troop carriers before they unload).
Viper 30 minutes is easy, 2 SOFLAM, 1 infantry Recon (forget the name) at the entrance. 1 more infantry recon at the tip of the turnaround at top right. Then fill the rest with mostly level 2 riflemen, and around 5-6 TOW's.
@bakkart Use Olinser's strategy, works an absolute charm. And don't forget about the upgrades! And don't play it at 2x speed, don't really have the time to build and use all resources properly that way.
In case you're all on the edge of your seats waiting to find out how I did on Level 5 ....
After several attempts in various configurations, I finally (barely) made it through by pausing just before wave 7, selling most rockets to purchase rifles, and then upgrading/selling those rifles whenever they got damaged -- buying a new one reset it to full status right away. I did something similar on wave 9, sometimes upgrading all the way into machine guns. It was close, but I got it.
So there you go. If you're struggling on Level 5 like I did, maybe this will help. Or maybe you're just laughing at me for having problems on such an easy level .....
@komodor: Olinser has the general strategy for Viper in his post on the previous page.
Japanese Rhapsody consists of building one technical scout at each of the roads and filling the rest of the slots with rockets. You should be able to destroy the troop carriers before you are swarmed if you upgrade correctly.
