Hi there!

This is something that was reported to us and is currently being reviewed. At this moment we have identified an issue with ad-blocking software (which is not supported on our site). It's blocking features on the site, for example the user account area, Disqus, and live chat to name a few. For examples of what this would look like you can see the cropped images that @widgetdog shared above.

So far most folks that have contacted me have reported that disabling the ad-block/pop-up blockers and will you to see the log in, chat, etc. I have a few pending that have yet to follow up.

Hello,

No problem! I'm guessing that disabling it allowed you to have access to the areas of the site that went missing?

@RavePenguin Add-blocking software I'm using is AdwBlocker that my father installed. I can't find it anywhere, not even in Program Files so i can dissable it. Can you somehow help me more? (By the way my computer is Windows XP)

Hi @BalkanRenegades, we don't really support third party software, so it's better to ask someone that installed it. They would be in a better position for how to make changes and modifications.

You may be able to ask your Dad about whitelist our site or show you how to disable it (depending on the best option for you and your family). I'd also talk to him about what the add-on/blocker is doing when you come to our site so that he can get a better idea of why you are making the request. Sometimes showing problems (the screen captures or coming to our site) can help as well.

@BalkanRenegades,

No problem. Hope you are all set and can get back to playing! Here are a few reasons are why I don't offer support for these programs,

  • The truth is, Armor Games couldn't work without ads. By watching ads, it helps keep the lights on here, and helps pay for great games to be developed.
  • The software isn't made for us or by us and as such you need to talk to the person that made it for any help/support. They'll know better about their programs and all of the ways to set up and configure it.
  • It's also against the rules (http://armorgames.com/page/armor-games-rules) to discuss blocking software for advertisements.
