Interesting. How is a serf different from a peasant?

Thoughts @ivanxxxxxxx on this overall?

I am following, and yes I agree with adjustments of course! The rank titles should be closer to Armor Games theme, and its population! In general I was trying to avoid pure copy/paste from previous AG rank system, furthermore the research on -Medieval People Titles, Positions, Classes - was kinda interesting

I replaced some of the high ranks with some low ranks from the OP. I also replaced Knight with Templar and moved it behind Justiciar like in the OP. In addition, I changed Villein to Serf and moved it to rank 1 based on information from this Wikipedia article.

I like how it is now. It is generally more intuitive.

Interesting. How is a serf different from a peasant?

@Ferret A serf is a kind of peasant. "In Europe, peasants were divided into three classes according to their personal status: slave, serf, and free tenant. " [link]

This is the base of the system:

Hierarchy

-Royalty
-Clergy
-Nobility
-Tradesmen, Merchants
-Castle Workers
-Entertainers
-Peasantry

------------------

I agree that we have too many Royalty and Nobility , and perhaps some not very clear (clear enough & unique) ones.

Now let's look at one more thing. Advancing in ranks , especially from 1-10 , should not be so hard , and since we have
25+(1) in total , I would say that half of available points should be enough for rank #15 or #16 on the list!

Why do I find this connected to ranks in general , because I think that is the place where Nobility and future more Royalty ranks should start !

So basically ranks from (0) rank #1 up to #15 , should be (Tradesmen, Merchants,Castle Workers,Entertainers and Peasantry)!
--------------------

Hierarchy implemented into AG system :

-Royalty --
-Clergy -- 16-25 starting from 51% of available (stars) up to 100%
-Nobility --
------------------------------
-Tradesmen, Merchants --
-Castle Workers --
-Entertainers -- (0) 1-16 starting from 0% of available (stars) up to 50%
-Peasantry --

Perhaps if you cut off Pursuivant +1 more there might be a room for Archer or Lancer in any of their form (Archer, Longbowmen,Crossbow-men & Lancer,Halberdier,Pikeman) as iconic soldiers in every medieval army!

@Ferret, can there be a spot for people representing the science community?

Hierarchy

-Royalty
-Clergy
-Nobility
-Tradesmen, Merchants
-Castle Workers
-Entertainers
-Peasantry

Adding to this, can we have 'Scientists'? I am asking this in favor of all those people right from medieval ages who lived along with the above mentioned classes but their work throughout the ages, unparalleled! (and maybe worthy of a spot in that list!)

Scientist doesn't have a medieval ring to it.

@Ferret this seems to be the best so far for a basic system. I think that pursuivant should be removed and an Emperor/Empress position should be #25 (With the 'White Rabbit' for Gantic as @armorplayergc suggested).

I guess you can remove Pursuivant, and perhaps replace it with....Butler? Seneschal? Steward? Page? Sheriff? Something not too low, but not too high.

We're going to start with one list, and work from there at a later date once we figure out how much work it's going to be. The idea was to do art for each rank, so that means more than just a text title for each.

I'm not a fan of Emperor/Empress at the top, I feel like King is the most fitting top.

Also, still not in love with Pursuivant. :P

@Ferret, I personally like the concept of attaching some sort of art to those titles. So, even if not in the beginning, please do see if art can be included!
