Your interest in being a mod is noted, but as SirLegendary said, there is no application process. Mods are selected according to certain criteria. If you want to know what it takes to become a moderator, you can check out this thread. I cannot guarantee that everything is up to date since it is more than five years old, but it is still a very good reference.
A few things you can do to qualify for modship is to be more active here, and as @SirLegendary said, to be a helpful, contributing member of our forums!
