Often Armor Games has to stop hosting a game because the game developers decided to shut down their game. It is hard to say what was the case here if we don't know what game it was, but I think it is probable that the game would have stopped anyway.
When game developers decide they cannot or simply will not support the game any longer, they shut it on every site where the game is posted. Same goes for here.
Sometimes, the game is shut because the code or engine that runs the game is way too old.
