Like the title says, I want to know what obscure unknown words you love and their definitions.

For me it's definitely phantasmagoric which means a rapid series of events like occur in a dream, but I often find myself using as if it meant fantastic just because it sounds better.

Mine is supratentorial, which means something that is true in someones mind but in reality its fake. I just like the word really.

Mine would have to be PHENALALINE - I think its spelt like that.

That is a chemical compound found in chewing gum that can have a laxative effect if taken in excession...I like using it because no-one else knows what it is.
